Contributors of the week 2008-07-28

This week we are recognizing Jacksonalan, ScottK and Spullis.

Jacksonalan, This week you took over the Zoo file project. I can't begin to express my gratitude to you for volunteering to manage this file. You did a really great job figuring out which Zoo's were missing and getting them added to the file. It is really nice to have you as part of the POI Factory Team. You have also been adding other important files like Office Max, Intown Suites and Office Depot.

Scottk, When I look at my list of dedicated loyal and hard working users, you are always in the top 5. You have built files for us that I never thought people would tackle. You are amazing and a huge asset to our community. I love all the pictures that you have been sending in this week. Thanks for being such a inspirational member of our team.

Spullis, This week you were instrumental in helping me get Montgomery Alabama red light camera locations straightened out. I really appreciate the time you took to help me, that was one confusing project and I know that I had you chasing your tail a bit through it. Thanks for being patient with me. It is very confusing when a city is working with one company and then switches to a new company and decides to leave the old cameras up but inactive. You have also been really consistent on turning in location changes that you see happening with other peoples files. I really appreciate your dedication to helping us produce the best files on the web.

This has been another great week everyone!!!

COW of the Week

Gee, I get named COW of the Week on the same day that McDonald's announces it's planning on raising the price of its $1 Double Cheeseburger.

There shall be blood in the streets, I tell ya!

I graciously accept the honor bestowed and bow to my co-recipients!

Can I put the COW in the zoo file? wink

How do you turn in location changes? A form?

Miss POI

Miss Poi, how do I turn in changes for other people's files? I just sent one to Animal Hospitals-USA, which I saw was one of ScottK's files.

Does the lat/lon format ALWAYS require decimal degrees? How many digits after the decimal?

I appreciate how much effort it takes to create one of these POI files, and I stand ready to help in the few instances where I run across a location to include or change.

You can send the user a note and if that does not work you can send me a note or make a forum post. I always make sure that a POI File maintainer has been contacted and notified when a change request is posted to one of their files. This will be one of the top items on our improvement needed list this year.

Miss POI
