POI Edit

Since Extra POI Editor does not work anymore, I have gone back to POI Editor.

I tried to convert the Harbor_Freight.cvs file to GPX file but it leaves out ‘Harbor Freight’ and put all the rest in the ‘Name’ windows.

Is-there a solution for that?

Thanks

Try this converter

Perhaps try this online converter but before doing so read the notes in the sidebar at the right.

extra poi editor csv to gpx

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do; however, (with a little work) I took the Harbor Freight CSV file, sorted/separated everything using Excel into 9 columns (Lat, Long, Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Phone, and Store #) then saved it as a CSV Altered file. I then loaded the Altered file into Extra POI Editor and it showed all fields separated into the 9 categories. I then Saved As GPX, reloaded that file and everything appears to be a "normal" GPX listing.
If this process is what you are looking to accomplish, I would be happy to forward the steps to you.
Sorry if I have over-stepped your intent and hope you find your answers.
I do have the finished GPX file if you would like it forwarded to you.

Didn't know POI Editor isn't working anymore.

The only way I have found that my files work for my Honda Accord is using POI Editor to change the file into KLM with POI Editor.
Will POI Editor still work to just change files from one format to another?

EPE

EPE still does many things. I use it all the time to convert the rest stops and other pois to a gpx file so I can build the proximity alerts into the file. http://www.poi-factory.com/node/28521 . The ability to save files in different formats still there.

Good news. I am too old to learn something new and was afraid I would have to.
Thanks for the information.

Works on my Win10 machine

Aside from no map display, so far I've found everything else working.
Is this (not working) a Windows 11 thing, or something else?
For the annoying map errors, go to Options and un-check Enable Internet.

I'm editing some POI files that I haven't touched in 6 years and I am reminded that nothing else does what EPE does.. still.

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

Toyota poi

Has anyone been able to convert the pois for use on a Toyota?

EPE Still Useful

I also use EPE to convert files. It's especially useful for embedding proximity alerts, by using the Replace Field option.

I tried this and low & behold, the error messages went away. Thanks so much.
