Garmin Subscription Service Maintenance

 

I received this e-mail from Garmin. Info for anyone with a Garmin subscription service.

"UPCOMING SYSTEM MAINTENANCE

You are receiving this email because you have one or more Garmin subscription or service plans.

In the coming weeks, we will be conducting system maintenance. On June 30 (beginning 8 a.m. ET) and July 8 (beginning 3 p.m. ET), billing-related subscription management features including activations, plan changes and deactivations will be unavailable.

Service-related features, including messaging and SOS for applicable products, will not be impacted.

Any plan changes or renewals previously scheduled to occur during these time periods will process once the billing system is available.

Hmmm, just what services are you subscribed to?

Other than map renewals and added app features for the Drive app (which I think are now free), I'm not subscribed to anything and have not received an email like yours.

Do you have a Cyclops redlight/Speed subscription or a wearable Garmin device with services?

I don't see any harm in sending an email, hand-typed, to garminservicesbilling@garmin.com but wouldn't click a link in the email you got.

It could be that you were mistakenly sent the email by Garmin.

Keep us in the loop on what you find.

Since I often travel to areas with no cellular coverage, I subscribe to Garmin's Inreach satellite communication service on my Montana 700i handheld:

Yes, I had subscribed to several such Garmim "Services". Weather being one of them.
