Google maps

I saw a map on Google Maps that came from POI factory. I was hoping I could click on one of your POI lists and have it display on google maps, but I don't see how to do that.

Is there a way?

Go to create a map at https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/home . Click on create a new map. Click on untitled map and give the map a name and the same for a description if desired and click save . Now click on import and select the poi factory file you want to use from your computer by clicking on browse. Put check marks in, Choose columns to position your placemarks and select continue . Next screen put check marks in ,Choose column to title your markers and then click finish . They should now appear on the map

Also

You can also view a .CSV POI file by opening it in Google Earth Pro. I frequently do this to verify location accuracy.

Files on map

You can also use Extra Poi Editor to open the csv or gpx files in Basecamp or MapSource and see them on the map. Download for Extra Poi Editor can be found here.
http://www.poi-factory.com/node/38068 . Once EPE installed just click on file then open and select the file from your computer. Once loaded click on tools and select BaseCamp or MapSource

I'm pretty knowledgeable about Google Earth but I didn't know about this function. How do I do it?

"No misfortune is so bad that whining about it won't make it worse."

Open

Click on the "file" tab in the upper left of the GE Pro screen, then click "open"

On the lower right of the drop down menu, choose the 3rd line which contains the file type .gpx (.gdb is also on the same line if that format is desired. For .csv files, choose the 5th line.

Change to the directory containing the file you want and click "open".

Note that This only works in Google Earth Pro.
